A: Yes, of course if you don’t need the changer function you may replace it with less expensive hu-650 however you need to know that hu-850 has dolby pro logic II which gives you highest quality sound, what I would do would be adding cd changer in the trunk which holds 10 cds that way you would actually upgrade your system to 10 cds and still could enjoy the quality of dolby pro logic II, it is not difficult to do, all you need is the cable and a changer but since you have premium sound already installed you may have the cable already there, the choice is yours,
