Q:I had one other question for you. My volvo dealer treated me poorly because of new management so I refuse to use their business which is why I am purchasing this part from you. I am hoping since you are solely volvo parts, you may be able to direct me with something. My gear gets stuck in park. I have dislodged the the gear cover so when it does get stuck, I stick my had down there and touch the spring and it will become unstuck. Is there a new part I need to get to resolve this problem. I refuse to ask my dealer and was hoping you could advise me on the part I may need. I totally understand if this is against your policy to assist in diagnosing. PS, prior to the new service manager, Myrtle Beach, SC had the best Volvo service around and now I refuse to use them to purchase a new car or service. What a shame. Yes, it looks like you have a problem with cable that goes to the ignition, I have had some customers that had similar issues, the best would be to remove the shifter wood plate and you will see the cable in the bottom that you should pull up and it will come out of the mount, than try to press it back together and it should be working much better, this is the only thing that stops you from shifting out of park, please try it and let me know,
