Q:Hello, I have a 2006 volvo v70r and I would like to add factory navigation to my car, could you please tell me if it is possible and how difficult it is and if you have such a set available, any help will be appreciated,

A: Hi, Yes it is possible to add factory navigation to your volvo v70R however it will involve some software programming, if it goes to the hardware it is not very difficult to install, all you need is the screen, dvd player, gps antenna, steering wheel switch and power plug that goes to the dvd player. I do have such a set available at this moment so you can take a look at it, now if it goes to the software since your volvo didn’t come with navigation it needs to be added to the volvo database to your car’s profile that it now has the navigation, once it is changed CEM needs to be reloaded so it has the new configuration which now has the navigation and now you will need the rti application download and you will be good to go, it is not difficult once you have RTI prep checked on your car’s profile,  CEM reload is $65 and rti reload is $70 .
