I have a volvo xc70 1998 , do you know how this bearing is installed? does the u-joint yoke press onto the shaft or does it have to be cut off and re-welded, etc?

If you have 98 0r early 99 the drive shaft will separate otherwise it is welded, there are two types of drive shafts 98 has a bolt in the middle which you remove and then easily can separate it, if you have the other type there is a c-clip on inside of the drive shaft just where there bearing sits and all needs to be done is one side needs to be snapped off.
