Q:I was hoping you can help me, i have a volvo XC60 2010 D5 and occasionally i have issue with my car not starting as the key doesn’t seem to work. i take the key out and re-insert it a few times and the car starts. both keys do the same.

I was told i need the start stop button and unit – can you provide this unit ? and can i replace it or will it need programming. My local Volvo mechanic charged me for diagnosis and said the computer registered key reading errors and is assuming its the reader as both keys do it.

A: it is hard to say but it could be the antenna in the start and top module, if this is the case I don’t think you can just get a used one, I think it would have to be done a the dealer,
