Q:I have a 2005 volvo V70 and I currently don’t have parking sensors installed on my volvo, I would like to have that feature on my volvo could you please tell me if this is something I could add and what would I need to make it work, does it involves any modifications?

A: Yes, you may add parking assist to your volvo but you need to check if you have one plug that is in the trunk on the left side just under the fuse box, it is brown, if you have that plug all you need is control module, parking sensors, and harness that runs from the module to the sensors, price of the control module is 125, each sensor cost $75 and harness is $70, after you install the sensors and module you will need software download which is $25 plus half an hour of a labor time. I attached a photo of that brown plug for you to see which one it is. you may also buy after market parking sensors which are much less expensive, below I gave you a link to it.
