Q:I received the CD changer, fitted it, but it does not work.
I have refitted it three times in total, each time it will work for the first few seconds then stop. Also the radio will not work with the new changer.
I replaced the changer with the old one and the radio works again.
Please advise of the next step

A:It looks like there nothing wrong with the changer I sent you, it was tested before it was shipped to you, it looks like you have anti theft software installed in your volvo and thats what prevent it from playing, there is a solution for that, what you need to do is to remove main mechanism from the one i sent you and swap it with your old one, so that way you will keep electronics from your volvo and it will work just fine, sometimes that happens in European spec cars not all but some do have that anti theft software and thats how I always recommend doing it without going to the dealer,
