Q:May I ask you for some advice for an issue that I have with my V70 (1998)? The problem is this: the driver’s side gets no heat even when I turn the dial. The dial actually behaves funny, it kind of wants to flip back and doesn’t stay on warm. This is mechanical, right? The car has an AC, but not the automatic climate control. So I assume there’s some kind of cable attached that opens up a flap mechanically (no motor?) for the driver or passanger side – and this is broken or stuck. Is it easy to get to this? which parts do I need to remove?

A: if you have automatic ac I would say that one of the motors broke, there are two few motors that open and close the vents and the most common is for it to fail,  now that you have manual it looks like the linkage could be broken you need to make sure that the vent close and open, I’m not sure but you could still have motors there, I will check and I will let you know,
