I have a 1996 volvo 850 non turbo and it noticed that recently my temperature gauge doesn’t go up much even I have driven for while and I know engine must me warm, can you please help me solve tha problem?

It looks like broken temperature sensor, it is located just under the thermostat, I recommend replacing that sensor and once you do that replace the thermostat it is recommended to rpelace both at the same time.
