volvo xc90 2009 anti skid system required abs

Q:I have a Volvo XC90 09 plate and I am getting the message abs/anti skid system service required. I have read that it may just be as simple as replacing the yaw rate sensor, due to water damage from clogged sun roof channels. My Volvo doesn\’t have a sun roof and the yaw rate sensor is bone dry. The warning lights intermittently go out after starting engine and I get the abs judder up through the brake pedal however, when warning lights appear on the dash (after 20 seconds or so) the judder goes away and the brake system works as if no faults. What else could be the problem or is it as simple as replacing the yaw rate sensor?

A: I recommend scanning the system for fault codes, it looks like you might need the module in the back differential, please let me know what codes you are getting than I will help you with what you need, if you dont have a sun roof you dont need yaw rate sensor,

thank you
