volvo xc90 anti skid service required

Q:I’m getting an anti-skid message on my 2004 Volvo XC90. My yaw rate sensor looks really good so I’m betting my steering angle sensor is causing the message. You mentioned that your part number 8622186 is in good working condition. How can you be certain? I assume it came off a totaled or non-running car. Main reason I ask is because after installing the new steering angle sensor, I have to pay the dealer to do a software update and calibrate the new sensor. Thanks

A:Yes it could be the clock spring, I have sold many and never had any problems,
there is no software download, there is no calibration, when you install it all you have to do is turn it all the way and than turn 2 and 1/2 times, just remember to have wheel straight before you remove old one and than you can install the steering wheel and thats all, no software, it is plug and play,
